BUCK NAKED BAND

BAND BIO

The Buck Naked Band, a highly acclaimed and accomplished group, burst onto the music scene in the late summer of 2011. Their captivating performances, known for drawing large crowds, have made them a significant figure in Northeast Ohio's music scene. Their accolades speak volumes about their talent, with four Fox 8 Hotlist awards and the prestigious Beacons Best award in 2019 and 2020 under their belt.

Their unique approach to fan engagement sets them apart. Treating their supporters as an extended family, they've fostered a sense of camaraderie that's palpable at their lively performances, aptly termed "holler'n and swaller'n" revelry.

Their music is a distinctive blend of modern country, rock, and a hint of funk, creating an irresistible signature sound. This innovative approach has been instrumental in popularizing modern country as a live music choice in the region.

Kevin is the face of Buck Naked Band. As one of the founding members of the band, he helped forge a group that remains as tight as a family. His Northeast Ohio origins are evident on stage, but his own family's small town roots shine through in his voice and song writing, which he is hopeful will become well known in the near future.

Whether singing leads, backup, or playing the drums, Kevin always puts on a performance that leaves folks talkin'.

Arene is a Tallmadge born and raised country music lovin' mom, teacher, and singer. She sang her way into the hearts of the band members, making her the sole female voice of Buck Naked.

Arene appreciates other generes of music as well, having been the co-lead singer of Beyond Blue and the Voodoo Doctors. Blues and classic rock were the mainstays of her musical career prior to BNB, but her heart always remains with country music.

Born and raised in rural Ohio, Chris spent his early childhood listening to his Mom and Dad's country and western records. He started playing guitar at 14 years old, then hit the bar scene soon after graduating high school. Chris honed his six string and pedal steel guitar skills by performing with original and cover bands on the local circuit, playing with national acts and freelancing on dozens of studio recording sessions.

Being a huge fan of country music, Chris is right at home adding his country flavor and twangy guitar presence to the mix with BNB.

Not common knowledge, but Bob actually grew up in a small town in Zimbabwe where he learned to play the piano (mainly because there wasn’t much else to do there). He moved to Ohio as a teen and started playing music with nearby theaters and then progressed to local rock bands.

Eventually, he made his way to the country music scene and feels privileged to be surrounded by some of the best friends and most enjoyable tunes of his life. Always quick with a joke or a light up your smoke, Bob tries to keep the mood light with his questionable sense of humor. But since English isn’t his first language, he prefers to express himself through music instead. And love. ;)
